The Promise

Note: These are all fictions. Fictions that I would have wanted to become a reality. I've used codename to preserve my anonymity.

The basketball league eliminations is nearing its end. But I'm still holding on to Allen's promise. I don't know, but I believe he was not joking around when he promised me that he'll give me tickets in one of their games.

One Wednesday morning, my phone began to ring.

'Cause this is real, and this is good.
It warms the inside just like it should,
but most of all it's built to last.

Yup, that's my ring tone, Built to Last by Melee. The call was from an unregistered number. I don't usually answer such calls, but, I just felt answering it.

-me- : Hello?
Caller : Hello -me-! What's up?
-me- : Who's this?
Caller : -me-, it's me, Ray.
-me- : Ray? Allen?
Allen : Yup!
-me- : Oh, my. How's your day?
Allen : Great! And you?
-me- : Pretty well. Uhm, why did you call?
Allen : Are you free this coming Saturday?
-me- : Saturday? Uhm, yes. Why?
Allen : Remember the first time we met? I promised to give you tickets right?
-me- : Yes, right! I remember.
Allen : Will you come with me on our ball game on tour?
-me- : On tour?!
Allen : Yes, on tour. The ball game will be held at ******* ** *** this coming Saturday. And I was thinking if you can join me? I wouldn't take NO as an answer.
-me- : Oh my, I really won't say NO Ray.
Allen : Great! Your friends Snow and JayM can join if they wanted to. Don't worry, it would be an all expense paid tour.
-me- : I'm sure they'd love to come Ray.
Allen : Can we meet Friday night maybe? So we can talk things over?
-me- : Friday night? Yeah, sure. Sure! Where? What time?
Allen : It's up to you. What time will you be out from your work?
-me- : 6PM
Allen : I'll pick you up then. Then let's just decide where to eat dinner?
-me- : Oh, that'll be great!
Allen : So, I'll see you on Friday?
-me- : Definitely. Will see you on Friday.
Allen : Thanks -me-. Thanks for everything!
-me- : You're always welcome Ray. My pleasure. Thanks as well.
Allen : Welcome. Take Care.
-me- : God Bless! Bye!
Allen : Bye!

Oh, can't wait till its Friday.
